Baseball Training for Medfield Athletes
Medfield families already drive for baseball — to tournaments, to club practices, to lessons. Parsons Sports Performance, 15–20 minutes away in Norwood, is the stop that makes the rest of the driving pay off: the strength, speed, and durability work that turns reps everywhere else into results.
Foundations for younger athletes
For developing and multi-sport athletes, PSP’s youth performance training builds the base first: movement quality, sprint mechanics, jumping and landing, and safe lifting progressions. It’s the on-ramp — athletes grow into baseball-specific strength work from there, on their own timeline.
Development for Medfield High and club players
High school athletes train on individualized programs in a semi-private setting, built from evaluation data and adjusted to the season. Strength and conditioning, arm care, and recovery live in one plan — so a Medfield athlete’s training week has one author, not three.
Numbers that travel
Jayce Devine (Bentley ’25) raised his exit velo from 96 to 107 mph, his vertical from 35 to 38.3 inches, and his broad jump from 107 to 121 inches at PSP. Engaged athletes average +10 mph of exit velocity and +5 mph of throwing velocity over 12 weeks, and in the Class of 2025, 100% of PSP athletes continued to collegiate athletics — 42% D1.
