Baseball Training for Walpole Athletes
Walpole borders Norwood, which puts Parsons Sports Performance about 10 minutes from most of town — an easy add to a school-week routine for athletes at Walpole High and local club programs.
Velocity you keep, not just velocity you flash
Plenty of programs can spike a radar-gun number. PSP builds the strength underneath it and then protects it: shoulder, elbow, and forearm arm-care programming is part of every athlete’s plan, because a velocity jump your arm can’t survive isn’t development — it’s a countdown.
Austin Campbell (UMass Amherst ’24) is the arc that story looks like. His velo had dropped to the low-to-mid 80s during a summer season; he shut down throwing for a fall, rebuilt in the weight room at PSP — squat from 295 to 545 lbs — and ramped back up to 90+ off the mound that winter.
Off-season builds, in-season protection
Off-season blocks build strength, speed, and force production. In-season blocks maintain them while managing throwing load and recovery around the game schedule. Late-morning, after-school, and Saturday hours keep sessions workable during the school year.
Training for whole teams
PSP also runs team training blocks for high school and club rosters — baseline testing, programming that fits practice schedules, quarterly team reports, and on-site or on-campus options for Walpole-area programs.
FAQs for Walpole families
How far is PSP from Walpole?
About 10 minutes for most of town — Walpole and Norwood share a border, and the facility is at 1200 Boston Providence Hwy #110 on Route 1.
Should my son lift during the season?
Yes — the right way. In-season strength work at the right dose is how athletes keep the strength and velocity they built, instead of handing it back by June. Programming is adjusted around games and throwing volume.
Do you work with full teams?
Yes. Team training covers high school and club rosters with baseline testing, custom blocks, quarterly reports, and on-site or on-campus session options.
